Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Develop master schedules and shop production plans which are considerate of sales requirements, customer orders, capacity, material supply and budgetary requirements for the operations.
Employ MRP to develop weekly production schedules derived from the Master Schedule
Respond to sales and operating changes by revising schedules within the constraints of capacity and material supply
Assist in dispositioning non-conforming materials
Modify BOMs as needed to insure currency
Participate in activities to maintain inventory accuracy levels at 99%+
Monitor and respond to variances of sales to forecast
Track, report on, and change schedules for variances of production to plan
Maintain data bases which reflect cycle times, planning values, capacity and yields
Adjust production plans to attain a minimum of 98% service
Identify, and make corrective action plans, to circumstances which will negatively impact service and inventory goals
Education and or Work Experience Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook)
Under-graduate college degree preferred
APICS certification preferred
Experience planning high volume production within an MRP driven environment
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service and supplier interface
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Experience with Lean manufacturing and or Six Sigma techniques a strong plus
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone and operate basic office equipment
