MANUFACTURING BUYER
Qualifications:
Someone who has some experience in manufacturing and in materials - if not purchasing.
The person will be ordering materials as indicated from MRP system while considering elements that might call into questions system buy recommendations.
This might include forecasts, current inventory levels, impending promotions, etc.
They will create purchase orders, insure that these orders are acknowledged within the requisite times and at the agreed upon price and terms.
Tracking of these orders, insuring that they are received on-time, are all elements of the job.
These function will involve supplier contact, building telephone relationships, learning about the supplier and materials purchased, and learning about operations and the needs we have for these materials.
Files need to be maintained, resolution gotten for pricing, service, and quality problems.
Direct hire position
Salary: $40 to 60k
