This position will also fill requisitions and orders, pack, crate and build crates, load and unload containers and ship product to customers.
The employee will perform tasks involving physical labor at the Ryeco Warehouse including dock and yard operations.
The position may operate a variety of hand and power tools and will operate a forklift.
The position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong mental aptitude and be ability to effectively and professionally communicate both verbally and written.
Essential Functions Shipping/Receiving Functions Packaging Shipments/Crate Building/Loading and Unloading of Containers/ Haul Unpacks, examines incoming shipments, records shortages Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies Assist with tracking packages and scheduling project container delivery/pick-up Occasional pick up and deliver to suppliers for parts and raw material Ensures proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed Performs basic purchasing functions Uses computer skills to arrange for and track project shipments Continually inputs updates on Ryeco software systems Maintains a clean warehouse:
pick up all tools and equipment and secures site each day to eliminate potential hazards Knowledge and Skill Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent Computer (Outlook, Excel, Word, Internet) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Recent Shipping & Receiving experience Forklift operator experience Knowledge of shipping industry concepts, practices and procedures Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize workflow while managing time Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

It is essential for the employee to be able to concentrate on tasks with the ability to understand and communicate information.
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds and perform strenuous physical labor.
The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects.
The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
The position also requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs.
The employee must have excellent stamina, strength and endurance.

Must be able to satisfactorily complete Forklift Operator Safety and Training qualification.
Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.
