Summary:
The Sales Assistant plays a pivotal role in supporting the sales and marketing department in various administrative and customer service tasks.
This position involves maintaining accurate records, assisting with customer inquiries, coordinating marketing efforts, and providing essential support to the sales team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1.
NetSuite Database Management:
Add new customers, contacts, opportunities, and mill data to the NetSuite database 2.
Customer Service:
Handle customer record requests, including W9, COI, SDS, and other documents as directed by the Sales Manager/Controller Provide customers with parts quotes, lead times, and tracking information upon request 3.
Marketing Support:
Update and maintain marketing materials, including product sheets and packets Assist with trade show applications and exhibitor data 4.
Email Management:
Review and follow up on emails for the sales team Manage unanswered emails and ensure timely responses 5.
Reports and Follow-up:
Assist the Sales Manager with reports, including open orders and sales reports to meet sales goals Assist the sales team with follow-up on sales projects 6.
Product Promotions:
Assist in executing product promotions based on company directives 7.
Sales Directory Maintenance:
Monitor and maintain the sales directory, ensuring files are placed in the correct folders 8.
Field Support:
Assist the sales team in the field with information requests 9.
Collaboration with Administration Team:
Assist the team with change requests, past due payables, and prepaid email follow-up
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or relevant certification is a plus Previous experience in a sales support or administrative role Proficient in using NetSuite or similar database systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Familiarity with sales processes and terminology is advantageous This Sales Assistant position offers an opportunity for growth within a dynamic sales and marketing team.
