JOB SUMMARY An assistant supervisor is responsible for assisting supervisors in various tasks and functioning as their point of contact to coordinate with employees in a company, ensuring that their needs are understood and relayed.
Aside from overseeing the operations of workflow and workforce at the plant level, an assistant supervisor's duties will also revolve around day-to-day policies and procedures to ensure they are followed for safe operation and production of the facility.
In addition, the role is responsible for clerical tasks such as preparing reports and necessary documents, handling the leaves of employees, and other forms of correspondence.
Furthermore, an assistant supervisor can also recruit and train staff, assign workload and verify documentation procedures.
Essential Functions:
Comply with Eco Material Safety Policies and Procedures Assisting with employee scheduling Comply to ensure all environmental policy and procedures are being followed Assist with employee counseling Day to day operations and maintenance constant organization and communication with employees Heavily involved in the hiring process Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong communications skills Strong leadership skills Ability to make decision under pressure Strong ability to work with others Computer skills Understanding of industrial setting Ability to read and understand blueprints EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE The employee should have the following:
High School Diploma or equivalent 1-2 years' experience in a relevant field ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT The employee should possess the ability to:
