The Plant Supervisor will provide direct supervision over the plant's entire personnel: production, fabrication, receiving/shipping, inventory management, and safety, manage all aspects of finished goods production, handling, storage and labeling ad work with the Plant Manager to develop production schedule based on order fulfillment, raw material availability.
SAFETY
Drive Toolbox talks and Lead the Monthly Safety Committee meetings
Ensure Mobile Equipment, Crane, Environmental and Fire Extinguisher logs are being completed and look for Issues or Comments
Ensure Keys are being removed from mobile equipment
Ensure utilization of LOTO procedures
Generally maintain a safe environment
Look for improvement opportunities
Support a culture of safety
QUALITY
Personally check every outbound shipment for accuracy and quality
Heavily support inventory management: planned cycle counts, identification and manual spot counts for order support (hardware and bars) - promptness is critical
Review all Work Order paperwork (cover page and cut-sheets against actual Release) prior to sending to Plant
Drive a mentality of quality into all Plant activities
PRODUCTION
Manage order prioritization, scheduling, setting daily completion expectations
Manage threading production schedule
Ensure Cut-Sheets represent an efficient use of inventory
Manage DCP & SCP orders: understand drawings, material needs, labor hrs captured, materials used, paperwork tracked and submitted
Manage one-off needs: testing new materials/procedures; gathering samples;
Requirements
Other responsibilities include:
Drive order fulfillment: manage scheduling, oversee staging, and ensure quality of product.
Take the lead in implementing continuous improvement activities such as 5S, Set-up / Changeover Reduction, Visual Workplace Management, and preventative maintenance.
Participate in the administrative supervision of the entire plant.
This position reports directly to the plant manager.

MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS:
BS in Engineering or related technical field.
3 - 10 years production supervisory experience.
3 - 5 years of experience in a continuous improvement environment.
Thorough knowledge and experience of Continuous Improvement / Lean tools and activities, e.g. Set-up / Changeover Reduction, 5S, TPM, and Visual Workplace Management.
Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, E-mail and Internet. Ability to learn ERP and Inventory systems.
Demonstrated skills in communicating with reports, motivating and leading a team of employees.
